Are you booked in or thinking about booking in for a Christmas Mini Session this year? The easy part is getting booked in. Then comes the harder task of trying to find suitable clothing to wear outside of the Christmas Season. I have listed a few clothing ideas for your Christmas Mini Session this year.
Are last year’s Christmas clothes still suitable?
First thing to do is check last year’s Christmas clothes at the back of your cupboards. Do they still fit and will they be suitable and match the mini session theme and colours of your chosen photographer this year?
If you’ve booked in with me at Rose & Cale Photography and you now need to trawl the internet for ideas, leave yourself enough time to get something ordered and delivered. I have tried to help by linking you to some of my favourites if you have booked in with me. Have a wee look through my current setup this year to help you decide what to wear/buy. Be prepared and order in good time!
The firm favourite for variety and availability seems to be PatPat, but please be aware that these sites can be a hit/miss with delivery, so please order in good time. Some of the links here may change by the time you get around to looking through them and prices may change too, but it gives you a good starting point. Closer to your session date you may find retailers like Next, H&M and M&S will start stocking a bigger range.
Best colours and style?
If you have booked in a Christmas Mini Session with me at Rose & Cale Photography, then the dress code and colours I’d suggest is smart/casual with tones of red, green and the usual festive colours like gold and cream. Tartan/plaid is always a very good start and my absolute favourite. It will go well with this years Christmas Setup, but plain colours will also work well as will Christmas jumpers or Pj’s, especially if the whole family joins in.
Don’t forget to plan for the Family Portraits.
Yes, that is right. Family portraits will also be taken and is a must if you LOVE Christmas. So try co-ordinating your clothing to match your children. This will help ensure the images blend well and you all look like you are part of the same family, lol.
